Golf Clinic with Thomas Levet – 2013

Six time European Tour winner and former Ryder Cup player Thomas Levet gave valuable golfing tips to around 15 junior golfers at a golf clinic organized by The Golf Foundation at the Avantha Masters 2013. Held at the driving range of the Jaypee Greens Golf Course, Greater Noida, the clinic by the French pro was hugely appreciated by the young golfers, ranging in age from 6 to 15.

Emerging Golfers’ Awards – 2011

A star studded evening at the Sports Bar, Great India Place, NOIDA, dedicated to honouring budding golfers. Chief guest Virender Shewag , actor-anchor Mandira Bedi, Olympic Silver Medalist Rajyavardhan Rathore and actor Rati Agnihotri were present to grace the occasion. Professional golfer Ashok Kumar and junior golfers Manu Gandas, Rashid Khan and Honey Baisoya were felicitated at the event.

Caddies Tournament – 2013

A tournament organized at the Golden Greens Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon, in 2013 to promote golf at the grassroots level and to help caddies improve their game. Prizes were fully sponsored by The Golf Foundation with a driver, putter and hybrids presented to the winner, runner up and second runner up respectively.

India’s top professionals conducted Golf Clinics organized by the Golf Foundation

The 4th Golf Foundation Invitational Charity Pro Am held in Mumbai on 21st November

The 4th Golf Foundation Invitational Charity Pro Am held in Mumbai on 21st November in BPGC was a grand success. Mr. Boman Irani along with PGTI professionals supported the cause. Thank you all and utmost our sponsors for making this event a grand success.

Synopsis of the event:

Backed up by a good performance from his amateur partner Paras Bhuta who scored 40 points, professional golfer Gunvir Rana’s team, which included Sharad Govindraja, won the Team Championship at the Golf Foundation Invitational Charity Pro-Am comfortably with a team score of 79 stableford points. Playing at the beautiful Bombay Presidency Golf Club on Monday the 21st of Nov, which hosted the event, Gunvir fired a round of 68 to score 38 points. His team also received one bonus point as they played as a 3 ball as against the regular 4 Balls on the course and through the win claimed and received the coveted championship trophy from Guest of Honor Boman Irani.

The best professional round of the day was brought in by young Syed Saquib Ahmed who fired one eagle in his round of 65(5 under) to total 41 stableford points. The Best Amateur score of the day was brought in by Sachin Khanna who scored 41 stableford points, the same as Pradeep Patel, but Sachin was declared winner also on a countback.
